Who/What is Rusty Toots?
Rusty Toots is powered by Russell Ward - musician, musical director, composer, arranger and music educator from Victoria, Australia. Russell's professional playing experiences including several years as a full-time member of the Royal Australian Navy Band, backing musician to several notable entertainers, including Hugh Jackman, Frankie J Holden and Denise Drysdale. Russell currently devotes the bulk of his energies into teaching woodwinds (both privately, and as a staff member of Patterson River SC), and is the current Musical Director of the Chelsea Concert Band. A married father of 3 active kiddos, Russell still likes to perform occasionally when work and family commitments allow, including opportunities to busk in Frankston whenever impromptu opertunities arise.

Rusty Toots produces sheet music for serious musicians who are serious about not taking themselves too seriously. Fun and quirky compositions and arrangements are available in a range of genres, levels and ensembles, including Big Band, Concert Band and Saxophone Quartet
Lessons and Tuition
Russell Ward (B.Mus, Grad Dip Ed) is available for private tuition on Saxophone, Clarinet, Flute and Music Theory. Past students have attained excellent results and satisfaction in playing and composition. Lessons can be taken in person at the Rusty Toots Studio located on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula, or online.
